It's because it's a fiberglass replica

They are poor quality and takes more effort and cost to fit than just getting a genuine plastic gsi bumper

Afraid not

Two different plug connectors

You can retrofit the 32pin plug but from what I've seen it's a pain in the ass

75 miles to £20 @£1.32L is approx 23mpg

The 1.8 should get another 10mpg

When was the last time it was serviced?

Plugs, fuel filter, air filter are all fairly easy self service items

If you can check for fault codes it may help, anything can affect mpg

Get a compression test and a leak down test done

Will tell you if it's valves or piston rings before you swap engines

If it's not got a standard exhaust noise would be explained

If standard you may have a hole/leak/damaged flexi

Look around the throttle body for small pipes, I know the zlet one has vac pipes that can cause sticking revs if split

Been years since I saw a 2.2 tb though

How long is the gap between foot off and revs dropping?

Because the system is electronic, so not as instant as cable throttles

If its a split second then could just be that, flywheel weight and throttle response cause it on few other makes.

Ohh no it can be fitted easily, just car needs to be reclassified as a 5 seater and you need to tell insurance.

Wether the car needs to be safety tested with a VIC check like a kit car afterwards is possible

You can get the gsi rear bench into a coupe, just not door cards

No coupe was 3 seater only the hatch.

You can add the rear belt and bench back with extra belt

But your V5 states the total seats, adding an extra seat would mean the vehicle needs reclassifying to be road legal technically
